So what can you do to start?
1.) You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink
The only person who can help you gain more positivity about your body...is YOU! Some of the things you can do may seem cheesy and not seem to work but being positive about your body is all mental. The thing with negative body image and fat talk, is it is highly contagious and once one person says one negative thing, it spirals into a pity party.
2.)Stop Looking at Sources that Encourage Body NegativityI know how tempting it is to see how celebrities lose 5 Pounds in a week and the super-foods that help weight loss, but these eye catching articles are only contributing to body negativity. Your body is unique and no matter how many squats you do, it is unrealistic to get Kim Kardashian's butt. The claim on the Fitness magazine of how to "Make Everyone Want Your Life" is exactly why young girls think that skinny means happy. Beautiful is happy and positivity is happy.

3.) It is the little stepsThe mirror is your best and worst enemy. Guaranteed, the first thing you do when you wakeup is look in the mirror. And after that come all the negative comments to start your day, "my eyes look puffy and tired", "I have a new zit", "I look so bloated this morning", and this list goes on. But wait, stop right there! Every time you catch yourself being critical in-front of the mirror, write on a post-it note one positive quality about yourself and put it on the mirror in front of you. Then, when you wakeup the next morning you will be greeted by your positive comments. Before you know it, you will find yourself putting less sticky notes up because now the mirror has no longer become a place of criticism but a place of finding beauty you previously didn't see.
